Bombala Railway Park - "Where the Past meets the Present". 

Platypus Country Visitor Information Centre is housed in the old Sisters of St. Joseph's convent, the Centre features information on Saint Mary of the Cross MacKillop who stayed at the convent.

Produce from across the region is displayed against a backdrop of memorabilia collected by the local Lions Club and of course loads of information on the region.

Monaro Country Lavender Co-op Australia's oldest lavender association. The Co-op uses the old Railway goods shed for their distillery and shares the old Railway waiting rooms with Friends of the Bombala Railway who have acquired and restored rolling stock and numerous railway artefacts which tell the story of rail as it applies to our region.  
The goods produced by the lavender group are on sale in the Information Centre and include everything from lavender biscuits to exquisite lavender oil. Distilling starts mid December and goes through until March each year, with in excess of 8 different varieties being distilled there is a perfume to suit all tastes!  
Bombala Historic Engine and Machinery Society has built a rustic farm shed to house their vast array of restored engines and farming implements and also a beaut club house made from recycled farm timbers. The Society holds a huge engine rally every two years.

Bombala Community Gardens are maintained by the local community gardeners network. The gardens include a rosemary remembrance garden planted in honour of Saint Mary of the Cross MacKillop, a sensory garden, lavender plantings and of course vegetables and herbs suited to the Monaro climate.
