Council views Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) as good management practice and promotes management policies and practices that reflect and respect the social and cultural diversity contained within the Local Government sector and the community, and are supportive of the NSW Government goals:
a workplace culture displaying fair practices and behaviours; and
improved employment access and participation for Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) groups.
Council has developed a four year EEO Management Plan (2017 - 2021) with the purpose of eliminating discrimination in the workplace and ensuring access to equal employment opportunities for all.
