Aged care facilities: Snowy River Hostel Yallambee Lodge	OPEN	To keep your loved one, relative and/or friend safe we have imposed restrictions on visitation to Councils aged care facilities. Effective 27 March 2020 visitations to both facilities are by appointment only and restricted to those who provide essential emotional and/or physical support. If you visit infrequently you are not deemed essential i.e. come from Canberra when you can for example every 2 weeks, 3 weeks and so on; visit when you are passing through Cooma. The restrictions imposed are in response to changes made by the Government to protect older Australians from COVID-19. Visitor hours are: 10.00am – 12.00pm and 4.30pm – 6.30pm All visitors, contractors and staff will have their temperature checked on arrival Visits are for 15 minutes only and are restricted to 2 people Visits must occur in the residents bedroom or outside – not in communal areas You will not be permitted entry if on arrival you have NOT made an appointment, have a temperature, cold and/or flu symptoms, have had contact with someone diagnosed with COVID-19 in the past 14 days; have returned from overseas in the past 14 days Children under 16 are not permitted into any facility unless on compassionate grounds and arranged prior Council reserves the right to refuse entry on the above grounds

Domestic kerbside collection	Continuing as normal	Cooma residents will notice a slight change to their kerbside collection service with recycling and organic bins to be emptied in the afternoon of the scheduled collection day. This will ensure staff can comply with social distancing requirements while still providing this essential community service. Residents are asked to place their bins out the night before the scheduled collection day and to leave the recycling and/or organic bin out until later in the day.

Saleyards Cooma	OPEN	Attendance at the saleyards is limited to the following: Essential saleyard staff only, eg Saleyards Officer, Saleyards Administration Officer and yard book staff Cooma Associated Agents and essential staff/contractors, eg scanning contractors Meat and professional buyers only Local Land Service Vet Livestock transport operators collecting stock No children under the age of 16; and No general public. If you are not a meat or professional buyer please contact your agent who can purchase on your behalf. To further comply with the social distancing regulations, the following must also be adhered to: Only two people in the saleyards office at once – this includes Saleyards Administration. You will need to knock on the door and wait until someone leaves the room before entering. Only two people in the agent’s room at once – this includes the Local Land Services Vet. The gate up on the Monaro Highway will be locked, leaving one road for entry and exit.

Waste facilities: Transfer Stations and Landfills	OPEN	Click here for operating hours. Council’s Resource and Waste Management request that you remain in your vehicle whilst being attended to: At the weighbridge and site offices at Bombala, Cooma and Jindabyne Landfills. That you abide by the Social Distancing Rule of 1.5 metres from staff when at Adaminaby, Berridale, Bredbo, Delegate, Nimmitabel, Numeralla Transfer Stations and at Michelago and Smiths Road collection points. That EFTPOS be used instead of cash where possible Please ensure that you follow the instruction from staff during this time.
