Electrical Secondhand Items
Both the Jindabyne and Cooma ScrapMart facilities accept preloved, working electrical items. These items will be available for sale through the ScrapMart once relevant electrical testing has occured.
Cooma ScrapMart Shop
Cooma Landfill opened ‘ScrapMart’ in June 2009 in an effort to reduce the amount of material going to landfill. The program focuses on recycling and reusing materials, and offers scrap items for sale from a new purpose built shed at the landfill site.

To avoid unnecessary competition, items for sale at the ScrapMart are those which are not accepted by existing charities.

Items are repaired if required, and in some cases are suitable for spare parts.

The ScrapMart shop is open on Saturdays afternoons, from 1pm to 5pm at the Cooma Landfill and is attended by two Council employees.

This Council initiative helps keep recyclable items out of landfill and saves locals tipping fees and a drive to the Canberra Revolve Facility.

Come for a walk down the red carpet, and see what treasures you can find,
because “someone’s junk is someone else’s treasure”!
