Snowy Monaro Regional Council offers residential aged care options in Berridale and Cooma. Residential aged care is designed for people who can no longer look after themselves in their own homes.
Snowy River Hostel has been operating since 1993 and offers 13 permanent spaces as well as one respite bed, all in private rooms with ensuite. The hostel is located in a quiet cul-de-sac in Berridale and offers a beautiful rural outlook.
Yallambee Lodge was built and opened in 1995. It is a 40 bed aged care facility with 38 permanent beds and 2 respite beds. All rooms are private with ensuite. The hostel includes beautiful gardens and open shared spaces for activities and socialising.
Both hostels offer a range of programs and activities developed to encourage participation and reduce isolation, including community based outings. Residents are offered care supports which meet their individual needs and offers the best possible quality of life.
