Residents can now drop off the following household problem waste items for FREE, helping to minimise our community's impact on the environment.

  • Paint (oil and water based)
  • Gas bottles and fire extinguishers
  • Fluoro globes and tubes
  • Household and car batteries
  • Motor oils
  • Other oils
  • Smoke detectors
Other items that can be dropped at the Landfill Free of Charge include:

  • Mobile phones
  • Printing cartridges
  • Household Batteries
Only household quantities of the above materials will be accepted.
As a guide a maximum container of 20 litres or 20 kilograms each of the wastes listed.

By separating your problem wastes and taking them to your local CRC, you are helping to improve recycling, reducing waste going to landfill and looking after your local environment.
Storing and transporting your wastes

Please handle and transport your materials carefully and safely. Protect your vehicle by placing items on a protective sheet or tray in the boot to capture any leakages or breakages.

The Community Recycling Centre facilitates the reprocessing and reuse of these materials and prevents them from entering landfill. By sorting your waste and taking it to your local Recycling Centre, you will:

  • Help improve recycling rates
  • Save water, energy and other valuable natural resources.
