Snowy Monaro Regional Council is encouraging locals to save the date, and put May 8 in their diaries. Renowned speaker Jane Halton will be in Jindabyne to share her story of public service and how she became one of Australia’s most influential women.

The evening will be held on Monday, May 8 at Parc Café between 6.00pm and 7.30pm. It’s set to be an inspiring and thought provoking occasion.

Jane was named by Women’s Weekly as one of Australia’s most powerful women in 2015. Jane is a mother, wife, skier, and part-time, long-time Jindabynean. Her impressive list of accolades includes an Order of Australia honour in 2015, more than three decades in the Australian Public Service, and a seat on the board of the World Health Organisation’s Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations.

Snowy Monaro Regional Council Community Development Officer, Meghan Quinn, said the night presents a fantastic opportunity for locals to hear from one of Australia’s most influential women.

“I’d encourage people to RSVP quickly for this great event. Jane is a powerful speaker. She’s here to inspire women in our community to believe in themselves. It’s going to be a great night.” Ms Quinn said.

To head along to this much anticipated event, RSVP to Meghan.quinn@snowymonaro.nsw.gov.au by Thursday, May 4.
