From July 2018 the water access charges based on the diameter of connection size will be introduced throughout the region and an education campaign will be undertaken over the next few months to ensure non-residential customers are given the opportunity to downsize the connection size if possible and thereby reduce the access charge.

Large Non Residential Customer Usage Charge Discount ~
In order to promote industries and employment in the region, Council is also introducing a 25% discounted usage charge to large non-residential customers that have an annualized consumption greater than 7.3ML per annum. To be eligible for this discount, any customer with this level of usage shall make an application to Council for approval.

Non Residential Sewer Charges ~
The non-residential sewer charges have not been harmonised and the details of the charges can be found under section 3 of the Revenue Policy 2018 – Water Supply and Sewer Services.

Similar to the water access charge, from July 2018 the sewer access charges based on the diameter of connection size will be introduced throughout the region and an education campaign will be undertaken over the next few months to ensure the non-residential customers are given the opportunity to downsize the connection size if possible and thereby reduce the access charge.

Any comment on the proposed charges should be directed in writing to Council by 28 June, 2017.
