Changes to kerbside waste and recycling collection services over the holiday period

Snowy Monaro Regional Council’s Resource and Waste Services Department would like to notify all residents who receive a kerbside collection service on a Tuesday that there will be NO COLLECTIONS on Christmas Day, Tuesday 25 December 2018.

The below service changes will occur to replace the Christmas Day services:

Cooma – All Waste and Recycling collection service scheduled for Tuesday 25 December will now occur on Monday 24 December 2018.

East Jindabyne, Kalkite, Eucumbene, Braemar Bay, Rocky Plains Rd – Waste collections scheduled for Tuesday 25 December will occur on Wednesday 26 December 2018.

Residents of the Bombala, Bibbenluke, Cathcart and Delegate areas are further advised that the scheduled Comingled Kerbside Recycling scheduled for Tuesday 1 January 2019 will not be undertaken. The service will be re-scheduled for Wednesday 2 January 2019.

All other areas with scheduled collections on Tuesday 1 January 2019 will not be affected and will be serviced as normal.

There will be no changes to kerbside collection services for Boxing Day, Wednesday 26 December 2018 or the Australia Day Public Holiday, Monday 28 January 2019 with all areas being serviced as normal.

Council would like to remind residents that their bins need to be placed out the night before their scheduled collection day, rather than on the morning itself, so as to avoid missing out on the collection.

Snowy Monaro Regional Council’s Resource and Waste management staff greatly appreciate your support during these changes and would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy and Safe 2019.
