Council's Responsibility

To inspect all lands within the local government area for the presence of weeds;
To control priority weeds on Council-owned land and roadsides;
To assist landholders with weed identification and advise on effective methods of control;
To implement weed management programs and enforce the control of priority weeds on public and private land under provisions of the Biosecurity Act 2015 in accord with the South East Regional Strategic Weed Management Plan and the Snowy Monaro Region - Local Weed Management Plan.
