Snowy Monaro Regional Council has confirmed that Jindabyne Indoor Pool refurbishment works will begin on Monday 14 November 2022.

These works are expected to take approximately four months, with the facility reopening to the public in March 2023. The facility will be closed for the whole period.

“Our team has been working in consultation with contractors, schools and other user groups regarding the current condition and planned refurbishments of the Jindabyne Indoor Pool”, said Snowy Monaro Regional Council Chief Operating Officer, Jeff Morgan.

“The closure is necessary for major works to be carried out to the roof, ventilation system and plant room.

“While we recognise that any facility closure is an inconvenience to pool users, it is necessary to ensure the long-term future operation of the Jindabyne Pool,” said Mr Morgan.

The timing of the temporary closure has been planned in conjunction with the opening of the Berridale outdoor swimming pool season, ensuring swimmers will have an alternate location to use during the swimming season.

Jindabyne Season Passholders will receive a pro-rata refund on their pool passes dependent upon the final period of closure.
