Council is excited to announce the newest addition to the Snowy Monaro ScrapMart family. From Saturday 19 November 2022 make a trip to Bombala Landfill and grab yourself a bargain.

With clothing, electronics, furniture, books and more – there is a pre-loved treasure for everyone just waiting to be found.

These facilities play an important role in diverting quality goods from being lost to landfill, preventing waste and the unnecessary release of methane and other greenhouse gases into the atmosphere as they break down.

Bombala Scrapmart will be open from Saturday 19 November 2022:

  • Saturdays from 1.30pm to 3.30pm; and
  • Sundays from 11am to 3.30pm

The Bombala facility joins our ScrapMarts at Cooma and Jindabyne Landfills in offering a high-quality tip shop experience right across the Snowy Monaro.

Donations can be dropped off to any of our ScrapMarts during opening hours only.  We will be accepting only quality items that can be resold.

These ‘buyback’ schemes offer both environmental and economic benefits and have been available in the Snowy Monaro since 2009.

Buyback schemes like ScrapMart save ratepayers money through keeping more material out of landfill, prolonging the life of our waste disposal facilities and reducing ongoing maintenance costs.

Allowing the donation of resalable goods for free also means community members can avoid having to pay disposal fees on many items that they may no longer need.
