Code of Conduct
Snowy Monaro Regional Council is committed to maintaining high standards of professional and ethical behaviour to build trust with our community. Our code of conduct sets out the minimum standards of behaviour expected of officials, which includes councillors and staff, and outlines how they are to act when carrying out their duties.
The code provides guidance to ensure Council officials act honestly, exercise care and diligence, and conduct themselves in a way that enhances public confidence in Council and its decision making.
Council’s code of conduct is based on a model issued by the Office of Local Government and guided by procedures for its administration.
