Deadline extended for Local Citizen of the Year Awards

There’s now more time for the Snowy Monaro community to step up and nominate a deserving local for the 2023 NSW Local Citizen of the Year Awards, with nominations now accepted up to 5pm Sunday 15 January 2023.

A key part of our local Australia Day events, the NSW Local Citizen of the Year Awards recognise the contributions of local legends, heroes and quiet achievers of all kinds.

The award categories this year are: 

  • Citizen of the Year (19 & older)
  • Young Citizen of the Year (18 & younger)
  • Special Achievement of the Year
  • Sportsperson of the Year (19 & older)
  • Young Sportsperson of the Year (18 & younger)
  • Community Event of the Year
  • Community Group of the Year
  • Arts and Cultural Person of the Year
  • Emergency Services Worker of the Year
  • Business of the Year (new or existing)
  • Environmental Award (individual or group, open aged)
  • Young Environmental Citizen of the Year (school aged)

 

Nominations now close at 5pm Sunday 15 January 2023.
