Cooma residents and road users are advised that work will commence from 7am Tuesday 25 October 2022 on the construction of School Zone Pedestrian Crossings at the intersection of Vale and Murray Streets, weather permitting.

Work is scheduled through Monday 7 November 2022, with crews on-site from 7am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, and 8.30am to 3.30pm on Saturdays.

The weekend work is necessary to get these vital safety improvements completed as quickly as possible, with minimal disruption to road users.

Vale Street will have no access to or from Murray Street while the works are ongoing.

Buses will continue to use the existing pick-up and drop-off locations during this stage of construction.

A Traffic Management Plan is in place with temporary road closures and detours signposted, along with reductions to speed limits.

We urge all road users and pedestrians to follow signposted directions, and be mindful of workers and equipment on and around the roadway.

Affected residents and businesses will receive a notification letter from the contractor. Cooma Public School, St Patrick's Parish School, Cooma Coaches and Snowliner Coaches have all been contacted directly.

For any questions or concerns please contact Council on 1300 345 345 or at council@snowymonaro.nsw.gov.au
