Residents who dispose of their domestic waste at any of Council's Waste Facilities will pay appropriate landfill charges for the waste they dispose of.

SMRC Transfer Stations Category of Waste - Not accepted - Waste Facilities 2017 2018
RECYCLABLES are accepted at ALL of Council's waste facilities FREE OF CHARGE.

Recyclable materials include paper, cardboard, plastic, glass, aluminium cans, steel cans, waste oil and scrap metal - Commercial Quantities are Not Accepted.

ASBESTOS can only be accepted at Jindabyne Landfill and Cooma Landfill by arrangement only.

GREEN WASTE is accepted at ALL facilities.
Domestic loads smaller than 1 trailer are FREE OF CHARGE, larger loads than 300mm in diameter is $70/tonne or $12/m3

E-WASTE is accepted FREE OF CHARGE for domestic quantities.  If the E-Waste Stewardship program no longer supports Snowy Monaro residents, Council will charge per item of E-Waste.
