Road Works Program 2026-2027
This page is currently being updated for the 2026/27 financial year.
When reviewing the Program, the following should be noted:
- The occurrence of grading has been assigned for this financial year only. The timing/occurrence of works in subsequent years will vary.
- Whilst maintenance is scheduled in advance, it is often necessary to alter the program due to the changing condition of specific roads or other unforeseen circumstances.
- The scheduled works outlined in this program are set by the Council’s agreed level of service; at times, Council may receive funding through Disaster Relief packages that enable Council to conduct works outside of the agreed level of service. Disaster Relief packages can be executed by Council resources or by contractors. Resources may be redirected to ensure Disaster Relief works are completed prior to funding deadlines.
- During inclement weather, the schedule may be temporarily suspended as continuing to carry out works on wet roads can cause further damage.
- If a road of concern is not listed on the schedule, please contact Council’s road department on 1300 345 345.
Type of work definitions:
Preventative Maintenance Grade: Full formation grade of road surface, this will occur in accordance with Council’s agreed level of service. Some roads may fall into two categories (eg, local and collector); therefore, the whole length of the road may not be graded at the same time.
Reactive Maintenance Grade: Partial grade of road surface. These works may be carried out in contrary to the agreed level of service; generally, these works are remediating areas that are a risk to the community.
Resheeting: Addition of new gravel to the gravel road surface. These works will be carried out on a section of the road as specified to prolong the life span of the unsealed road.
