Snowy Monaro Regional Council is seeking community feedback on its new draft Property Review and Rationalisation Strategy, endorsed for public exhibition at the December 2025 Ordinary Council Meeting on Friday 19 December 2025.
Council is responsible for a large number of properties across the Snowy Monaro and the cost of managing and maintaining this property portfolio is significant.

The draft strategy lists operational properties, with locations, costs, and our recommendations for the future of each site.
Council has undertaken this review of our property portfolio in response to recommendations from recent financial and operational reviews. Your feedback will help ensure that we’re making the right decisions for the community, Council’s financial sustainability, and local service delivery.
This consultation is the first step in the process. The draft strategy has been created specifically to serve as a starting point, and these plans will change based on community feedback received over the coming weeks and months.
