Residents and visitors are invited to provide feedback on the draft Berridale Master Plan, which aims to transform and modernise the central areas and public infrastructure in the historic Snowy Mountains town.

Funded under Round 5 of the NSW Government’s Stronger Country Communities Fund and developed in consultation with the community members that make up the Berridale Project Engagement Group (PEG), the draft plan proposes significant upgrades to enhance the village centre's accessibility, sustainability and coherence.

Following the consultation period being announced today, the draft will be revised based on the community feedback we receive.

The revised plan will then be tabled in a report at a future Council meeting and, once adopted, will allow Council to seek grant funding for the phased development and rollout of this collaborative blueprint for Berridale’s future.

Key features of the draft master plan include:
      •      A formalised creek alignment from Robert Street to Park Street

•      Upgraded culverts under intersecting streets

•      A shared pathway from Robert Street to Bolton Street

•      New gathering areas, including space for ANZAC Day events in Memorial Park

•      Additional parking and improved signage

•      Recreational additions such as a half basketball court and new BBQ facilities

Council invites anyone with an interest in Berridale’s future to review the draft and share their thoughts on the proposed vision for the village’s future. The draft Berridale Master Plan can be viewed online at https://qrco.de/berridaleMP or in hard copy at the Berridale Council office.

Feedback can be submitted until 11.59pm Sunday 13 October 2024 via:
      •    The Your Say Snowy Monaro website
      •    Email to council@snowymonaro.nsw.gov.au
      •    Mail to PO Box 714, Cooma NSW 2630

Council staff will also host an information stall at the Berridale Fair on Saturday 5 October 2024, offering another opportunity for the community to view the draft plan and provide feedback.
