Local businesses benefit from Council’s mentoring and coaching service
Published on 11 April 2022
Since its launch in January 2022, the grant funded Business Coaching Program organised by Snowy Monaro Regional Council has seen dozens of meetings held online and face-to-face, plus countless phone calls, messages and emails providing invaluable assistance and support to our business community as we make our way out of an incredibly difficult two year period.
The program is delivered by Anton Pemmer from INOV8YOU® Facilitation & Executive Coaching under the Bushfire Community Recovery and Resilience Fund, jointly funded under the Commonwealth/NSW State Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements.
Unlike other similar programs, this tailored Business Coaching Program offers as much support as clients need, with no restrictions on the amount or frequency of appointments local businesses can access. This means that businesses themselves can tailor support services to their needs, as opposed to a top-down one-size-fits-all approach.
Businesses may choose a straightforward one-off support session through to in-depth strategic planning and brainstorming – even coupled with a referral to another speciality advisor for further specific support such as social media or website assistance. Both in-person and online options are available.
Meetings are flexible and tailored to the specific needs and availability of each business. Rescheduling for unforeseen circumstances, family issues, COVID-19 impacts, and whatever else arises is no problem. In the program so far, the minimum meeting has gone for one hour, while most first meetings last for an hour and a half. Like all other aspects of the program, the business client chooses the meeting length to suit them.
Feedback from local businesses participating in the first months of the program has been very positive, praising the quality and breadth of ideas and solutions on offer.
The business mentoring and coaching program is available until Tuesday 9 August 2022.
Sessions are still available, so if you or somebody you know runs a business in the Snowy Monaro, there’s time to get involved and get the insight and advice you need to recover from the challenges of the last couple of years and take your business to the next level of success.
Anyone with a business based in the Snowy Monaro Regional Council local government area interested in taking advantage of this opportunity is encouraged to send an expression of interest ASAP via email to council@snowymonaro.nsw.gov.au
