Council is seeking feedback from the Snowy Monaro community on proposed local pricing for services offered under the Australian Government’s new Support at Home Program until Tuesday 10 February 2026.

The new funding and service model for in-home care commenced from Saturday 1 November 2025, replacing both the Home Care Packages Program and the Short-Term Restorative Care Program.

In compliance with the requirements of the new Support at Home Program and legislation, Council has drafted a proposed pricing schedule for the in-home support services we provide under the new program.

Visit www.yoursaysnowymonaro.com.au to take a look at the proposed pricing schedule, learn more about these changes mean for you and your loved ones, and share your thoughts with us by 11.59pm on Tuesday 10 February 2026.

All funding and service recipients have been automatically moved over to the new Support at Home Program and its improved funding, oversight, and access structure.

The Support at Home Program makes accessing in-home care simpler, easier, and more flexible for service users and their families, helping older Australians remain safe, well-supported, and independent at home.

As part of the transition to the Support at Home Program, the Australian Government has released a new Support at Home Pricing Model. The new pricing model makes service costs easier to understand for participants and improves affordability with its legislated fair pricing structure.

Council looks forward to continuing to provide high-quality person-centred care to older residents across the Snowy Monaro under these new arrangements.
