Headstones of various designs and eras stand in the lawn cemetery area of Adaminaby Cemetery, with green leefy trees and hills in the background.

Membership applications are invited for vacancies on the Snowy Monaro Regional Council Cemetery Advisory Committee, a community-led committee responsible for the oversight of active and historic cemeteries across the region.

Meeting once every three months, committee members provide direct feedback to Council about our region’s cemeteries, and will have the opportunity to shape operational management of these facilities and policy development through discussion and collaboration.

Complete a self-nomination form today and help ensure that our local cemetery services meet the needs of our community. You’ll help preserve regional history and engage with residents from diverse cultural and religious backgrounds.

Nomination forms are available on Council’s website at https://qrco.de/s355.

Submit your completed form by email to council@smrc.nsw.gov.au or in-person at any Council office by Thursday 31 July 2025. Nominees will need to provide a short summary of their professional background and previous involvement in the community.

Council invites all civic-minded residents in our region to apply. If you’ve been looking for your next opportunity to give back and do something for your community, serving on a committee is a great way to make a real difference with only a small, recurring commitment of your time.

Forms can also be returned by post to PO Box 714, Cooma NSW 2630.
