Updates from the Bombala Exhibition Ground Project Engagement Group

Council is excited to share updates from the Bombala Exhibition Ground Project Engagement Group with the community, as work progresses on a wide array of exciting projects for this much-loved community facility.

Bombala Caretaker Cottage works are well underway, with hazardous materials removed as part of the first stage of refurbishment. The next stage will see structural issues addressed, with all funded works on the site due for completion by Friday 30 June 2023. 

Works on the Exhibition Hall, CWA Building and Grandstand will additionally be complete by 30 June, inclusive of painting, window repairs, and upgrades to fire and electrical systems.

The sporting facilities upgrade project funded by the Bushfire Local Economic Recovery Fund is progressing well. The committee have been working with the appointed architect on the design and the DA has been submitted for approval.

Additional funds have been sought for accessibility works that are required for these facilities to be fully compliant with relevant regulations. Completion of construction is estimated for early 2024.
