Council is calling on Cooma residents to have their say in shaping the future of the Food Organics and Garden Organics (FOGO) kerbside collection service. This valuable feedback from the community will significantly contribute to the expansion of the service across the Snowy Monaro region.

The primary objective of this survey is to gather insights from Cooma residents currently using the FOGO service. By understanding residents' perspectives, Council aims to collect benchmark data on the community's awareness and comprehension of the service. Additionally, the survey seeks to explore how the service can be further improved to better suit residents' needs.

"Your feedback matters, and it will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our FOGO kerbside collection service," said Cr Narelle Davis, Mayor of Snowy Monaro Regional Council.

"We encourage all Cooma residents to participate in the survey and share their thoughts and experiences with us. Your insights will be invaluable in planning for the broader regional rollout of this environmentally friendly initiative."

The data collected from this survey will be used to develop targeted and effective education campaigns that not only address Cooma residents' needs but also serve as a guiding resource for the upcoming regional expansion. Council is committed to ensuring that the FOGO service benefits both residents and the environment.

As part of our engagement efforts, we will be hosting pop-up stalls and drop-in sessions in various locations throughout Cooma. During these events, residents will have the opportunity to ask questions, provide feedback in person, and learn more about the benefits of the FOGO kerbside collection service.

The FOGO survey is accessible to all Cooma residents and will remain open until 11.59 pm on Sunday 3 September 2023. To participate in the survey, please visit the following link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/PZL7XKZ

Join us in shaping a sustainable and eco-friendly future for Cooma and the Snowy Monaro region. Together, we can make a positive impact on our environment and build a greener community for generations to come.
