Work dates for the replacement of Rossys Creek Bridge on Corrowong Road in Corrowong have been changed due to unexpected delays.

Construction was previously scheduled to begin on Monday 22 April 2024, with work now getting underway today, one week later, on Monday 29 April 2024.

New Rossys Creek Bridge replacement work dates:

  • Work begins Monday 29 April 2024, weather permitting
  • Estimated completion date is Monday 5 August 2024, weather permitting

During construction, Corrowong Road will be closed to all traffic at Rossys Creek Bridge, with a detour via Browns Camp Road in place for the duration of the project.

To minimise interactions between heavy vehicles and general traffic during peak times, the following temporary traffic management plan will be implemented:

  • Heavy vehicles (unloaded log trucks, gravel trucks) will be restricted from using the detour route between 7am–8.30am and 4pm–5.30pm daily
  • Residents wishing to avoid heavy vehicles are advised to plan their travel within these times

This plan will be reviewed on Monday 13 May 2024 to assess the effectiveness of these measures in making travel safer and easier for residents.

Council appreciates our community’s patience and understanding while this essential upgrade to Rossys Creek Bridge is underway.
