Council invites our community to help shape the future of local arts, culture and heritage by providing feedback on the draft Snowy Monaro Arts, Culture and Heritage Strategy 2026 – 2029 and draft SMRC Public Art Policy by Monday 20 October 2025.
These draft documents set out a framework for Council’s delivery, support, and management of arts, culture, and heritage initiatives in the Snowy Monaro over the next four years and outline how Council handles public art in our region.

‘Art, culture and heritage are central to our identity as individuals and as a region. This consultation is your chance to have a real voice in shaping the future of this important part of life in the Snowy Monaro.’
‘I invite everybody to have their say before feedback closes on Monday 20 October – whether you’re an artist, a member of a cultural group, a history buff or just a local who cares about this important sector,’ said Mayor Hanna.
