Jindabyne area recycling survey: Help us tackle kerbside contamination

An incorrectly and over-filled kerbside recycling bin in Jindabyne

Kerbside recycling contamination rates are on the rise again. Council is asking residents in Berridale, Crackenback, Dalgety, East Jindabyne, Jindabyne, Kalkite, and Moonbah to complete a short survey to help us understand local recycling knowledge, habits and opinions. Responses will help Council get recycling contamination rates back on track.

The survey is also a great opportunity for residents in the wider Jindabyne area to tell Council where we can improve our recycling services, education, and information.

Visit https://qrco.de/RecycleSurvey today to share your views on recycling in the Jindabyne district. Responses accepted until 5pm on Friday 5 December 2025.

The feedback we receive through this survey will help guide future education campaigns, and play a key role in shaping what the future of Council’s recycling services look like for Jindabyne and nearby towns and villages.

We want to hear directly from residents about what is working well, what could be better, and what we can do to help our community recycle – the right way, more consistently, and more often.

This is your chance to share your experiences and let us know what we can do to help you recycle right.

Hard copies of the survey are available to pick up from Council's Berridale and Jindabyne offices and the Jindabyne Waste Facility.

If you have any questions or have trouble accessing the survey online, please contact us by phone on 1300 345 345 or email council@smrc.nsw.gov.au to get in touch.
