Anzac Day 2024 in the Snowy Monaro

For the information of the community, Council is providing the following list of services and events scheduled to commemorate Anzac Day on Thursday 25 April 2024.

Lest we forget.

Adaminaby

  • 10.45am: Marchers assemble at the Big Trout, march commences at 10.50am.
  • 11am: Ceremony at the Adaminaby Memorial Hall, followed by morning tea.

Berridale

  • 6am: Dawn Service at Berridale Memorial Park.
  • 11.15am: Form up at Berridale Inn, step off at 11.30am for ceremony at Berridale Memorial Park.
  • 12.30pm to 6pm: Fundraiser and two-up at Berridale Country Club.

Bredbo

  • 10am: Marchers meet at the corner of Walker and Bunyan Streets, march commences at 10.15am.
  • 10.30am: Ceremony at the Bredbo Centennial Park Memorial, morning tea at the Hall following the ceremony. Bring a plate to share.

Bombala

  • 6am: Dawn Service at the Cenotaph.
  • 10.45am: Assembly and march from Club Bombala to the Cenotaph.
  • 11am: Service at the Cenotaph.

Cooma

  • 5.30am: Meet at Centennial Park for march to Dawn Service at Cenotaph.
  • 5.45am: Dawn Service at Cenotaph.
  • 10.30am: Commemoration march from the corner of Sharp and Bombala Streets to the Cenotaph, followed by 11am Morning Service at the Cenotaph.

Delegate

  • 6am: Dawn Service at the Cenotaph, followed by gunfire breakfast at the RSL Hall.
  • 10.30am: Marchers assemble on Bombala Street, march commences at 10.45am.
  • 11am: Main Service at the Memorial Park Gates.
  • ANZAC Day lunch and two-up at the Delegate Country Club.

Jindabyne

  • 5.45am: Meet for 6am Dawn Service at Banjo Paterson Park, Lions Club Breakfast follows at Memorial Hall.
  • 9am: Marchers form up in the Town Centre carpark, step off at 9.30am for march to Morning Service at Banjo Paterson Park. CWA morning tea follows at Jindabyne Memorial Hall – gold coin donation required.
  • 12pm: Luncheon at Banjo Paterson Inn for current and ex-services personnel and their invited guests.

Michelago

  • 10am: Commemorative Ceremony at the Michelago Railway Station.

Nimmitabel

  • 10.30am: Marchers assemble at the Pioneer Memorial Hall.
  • 11am: Main Service at the Cenotaph on Boyd Street.

Council invites the community to attend their local Anzac Day commemoration, as people come together across the country to reflect on the service and sacrifice of our past and present service members.
