Chief Executive Officer

David Hogan assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Snowy Monaro Regional Council in November 2023. With an impressive career spanning decades in senior roles within the public sector, Mr. Hogan brings a wealth of experience to his leadership position. His tenure as General Manager Corporate Affairs and Community Relations at Snowy Hydro from 2010 to 2014 capped off more than a decade of transformational work with one of our region’s most prominent organisations.

Prior to joining Snowy Monaro Regional Council, Mr. Hogan served as the Greater Sydney General Manager for Local Land Services, where he led a period of transformative change and organisational reform over four-and-a-half years. Following this, he spent three years as the Head of Engagement and Communications with WaterNSW, providing crucial support to councils and communities during challenging times of drought and flooding.

Mr. Hogan's extensive experience in driving improvements in employee engagement, customer satisfaction, and organisational reforms makes his appointment to the role of CEO a perfect fit with Council's vision for growth and positive change.

Having played a pivotal role in the success of the Country Universities Centre (CUC) pilot program and serving on the board of Tourism Snowy Mountains for ten years, Mr. Hogan's community involvement underscores his commitment to our region's development. His return to the Snowy Monaro, coupled with his proven track record in leading significant initiatives, positions Mr. Hogan as a key figure in steering Council through an exciting period of transformation.
