Flooding across the Snowy Monaro

Due to rains and flooding there are road and facility closures throughout the region.

Council is working closely with local emergency teams including NSW Police and RFS to close and assess roads and infrastructure across the region.

Drive with caution, drive to the conditions, and NEVER drive through floodwater.

NSW SES Cooma-Monaro Unit has advised that sand bags if required, are available to be collected from our Cooma Council Depot Polo Flat Road. If you require SES assistance please contact 13 25 00.

 

ROAD & FACILITIES UPDATES (as of 9am 31/10/2022)

  • Commissioner Street Cooma causeway currently closed for cleaning and will reopen later today
  • Due to weather damage, Wainui and Billilingra Roads (near Buckenderra/Lake Eucumbene) are currently closed.
