Helping hands to get Jindabyne looking fine in time for winter
Published on 09 May 2025
As Jindabyne gets ready to take centre-stage for another busy winter season at the end of this month, Council and Sustainable Snowies are calling for local volunteers to lend a helping hand for their hometown on Wednesday 21 May 2025 at our annual pre-winter Community Clean-up.
Join our dedicated community volunteers from 3.30pm to 5.30pm as we work along the foreshore and through the town centre to get Jindabyne looking its best ahead of the busiest time of year.
No need to RSVP or register in advance. Just grab your hat, water bottle and sunscreen and head down to Jindabyne Skate Park on Wednesday 21 May 2025 for an afternoon of community connection and giving back to the town we call home.
Bags, gloves, and litter-picking claw tools are provided, and while we know you don’t need a reward to do good deeds, we’re throwing in a free sausage sizzle for all of our volunteers once the clean-up’s complete.
Donate an afternoon of your time to help Jindabyne shine this winter and you’ll be doing your part to help the community, local businesses, and our wider region have a great winter season.
This event is being delivered as part of the Sustainable Snowies Litter Prevention Strategy, which aims to reduce waste, keep our region's towns clean and tidy, and protect the environment from the effects of litter and waste.
We look forward to seeing you on the foreshore on Wednesday 21 May 2025 at 3.30pm.
